Have you found out that your notebook is working slower? You shouldn’t look for a new machine. You’d better consider buying extra RAM. Your notebook’s processor inside can be rather fast, but you might need to upgrade your RAM.
Here a nice example: we want to upgrade the Gateway NX570X'. So we have really slow 1GB of RAM. What we should do is just to change it with two 1GB sticks of RAM from Kingston ($89; www.kingston.com). The extra RAM changed the performance of this notebook. Now this notebook is faster than ever. During our tests we got extremely good results. Before any upgrade, you should find out what type of RAM your model uses and what the maximum amount of your RAM can be (you can consult Kingston's online database).
